A Photographic Tribute to My Camera: The Big Apple
A photographic tribute in honor of dear Camera.
I'll divide this into separate posts by subject or mood or whatever the hell strikes my fancy. Some of Camera's best work, of course, has people as the subject, and given my paranoia about internet freaks and their nefarious motives, those will, sadly, remain private.
It's most appropriate to start with selected photos from the Big Apple, when Camera first came into my life. We were just getting to know each other then, and were still a bit unsure of each other.
Please join me in reflecting on Camera's life through his good works.

Black and white can still speak volumes... love the Beauty from Stone and Tenement Housing. You were comfortable with the camera and it shows..
Willym: Yes, I call it ... my Black & White Phase [takes a sad stab at pretentiousness]. Actually I just went overboard playing with the features.
been there done that - want to see a whole pile of sepia photos of the Cemetary at St Michele in Venice? Very very aurtthy....
W: actually that sounds kind of cool. I like cemetery pics. As for the sepia, one of my absolute favorite pics is of my daughter, fairly close up, walking along a driftwood log on the beach -- she had long (curly) hair at the time, and was wearing this flowy blouse. For some reason it looked just right in the sepia.
Excellent.
