Paris Didn't Have Dubya On Her Side

WTF, people? I mean seriously -- What the Fuck?!
To quote my cyber buddy Sling, "Even Martha Stewart did her time like a soldier,". Hell, even Paris had to go back, tears and mystery illness notwithstanding.

And conservatives are happy about it! What is the matter with them? Don't they realize this makes their boy look like even more of an ass?

I have nothing else to say.

Words fail to express my disgust at this action. And for me, ironically, that's saying something.

Yeah. I'm not known for brevity with a pen either, but ...

whatever.

Dude, I am so not surprised it's not even funny. I wasn't even that psyched about the sentence because I knew it was just a matter of time until someone overturned it.

In another time scandals like this would be huge. They wouldn't be tolerated. I mean, no one I've talked to thinks scooter's innocent, yet no one is really prostesting this.

no real estate or blow jobs involved.. there you have it. I'd like to say I'm surprised, but I can't. Nauseated yes... shocked that once again the Shrub changes the rules to suit himself- not os much.

But wait, ther's more. He will receive a full pardon at the end of the shrubs occupation. Hate.These.Pricks.

My TV happened to be on the Fox News channel during the exact moment when the word came in. Man you should have seen those guys falling all over themselves. I'm almost certain at least one of them wet himself.

*also, I have a good excuse for watching Fox News at that moment but I can't for the life of me recall what it was...

It's one thing to have contempt for this administration and the party loyalists; it's another thing when they go out of their way to COURT our contempt.

I've got PLENTY to say, but almost all of it involves profanity.

Of course they had to commute the sentence- it keeps the beans unspilt and the skeletons in the closet. Otherwise, the American public might get the impression that their leadership is corrupt.

Thing is, totally figured it would play like this. Just thought he'd at least wait until the end of his term, as is the norm in these things. But then, expecting decency, honor or justice from this President is just stupid.

...(sigh).
Okay,..let the little lame duck schmuck wield whatever flaccid powers he has left.
The Republicans are finished.
Bush is destined to become nothing more than an illegibly scrawled footnote in the margin of history.
A would be dictator, that will be best remembered for the cartoon character his pathetic presidency has spawned.

Sling -- speaking of that, there actually IS a cartoon about him and his cronies, called Li'l Bush. Hmm.

That's what I'm sayin'..

I have to say this all played out as I anticipated. I just figured Libby would drag out appeals until the shrub was on his way out and get a full pardon then. Disgusted, yes, surprised, no. I would like to see them all doing hard time down on the farm, but that ain't gonna happen. (Shrugs and goes in search of fattening comfort food)

Did you see what Keith Olbermann had to say on the subject? It was MESMERIZING, and I think it's still up on the MSNBC website. It was masterful.
