Salt in the Wound...

Also, this morning I attended a staff meeting in our coldass conference room where I had to take my blanket (yes, we keep blankets at work here), and learned that a colleague who has been on sabbatical for the last academic year is not coming back.

She's staying in Costa Rica.

Hide the sharp objects people, I'm about to hit my limit.

55? That's just over half of what we had in rural SC today (local bank listed 106 degrees at 6:30 p.m.). At least your State is progressive.

RG --- yeah. Ain't it just.

DL --- No, really I'd be doing the same damn thing if I were in her position. I only hate her a little bit.

Tater --- hmmm...

SD524 --- Well, there is that. At least on this side of the Cascades, anyway.

Well, let's see...so far 8 days into June we have had sun for 7 hours TOTAL in IDAHO. I mowed the lawn in the drizzle today....at least it is flat. I turned all of the damn pilots off on the heaters the one day in May when it was
80. I gave in and put the down blanket back on the bed so Steve would shut the hell up.

Rosemary: my down comforter (with flannel duvet cover) NEVER comes off my bed. In fact ... it's time to go get under the covers.

It has been over 100 degrees for several days here...and drought.
At least there aren't any tornados...yet.

Ouch. That sucks. I had that happen with our department head last week. She took a position in England. Though at least the weather sucks!
