Dissent

I'm back. I'm so glad we went. It made a measurable, concrete difference. You know when you're on a jury, and most of the jurors think the verdict is obvious, but there are those few holdouts for justice whom the other jurors want to strangle and leave for the rats? Like that.

Now I need to sleep for a week to recover from Cognitive Overload.

Can't wait to read all about it! Now get to bed. I'll have breakfast waiting, as long as you promise a full report!

All -- we had to sign non-disclosure agreements and they practically frisked us when we left. I'll have to think write in a measured (and legal) manner, rather than my usual flying off on a tangent.

I think I missed breakfast ...

Happy to hear it went well. From the last comment you obviously got some much needed rest.

Looking forward to hearing what you are allowed to tell us. Just glad it went favourably.

You were one of the holdouts, right?

I'm officially curious. Intrigued, like.

Oh dear, so much I've missed.... Jury duty, memes, and your advocacy group! Who needs sleep or books? I have blogs to read!

I think I missed something ... were you on a jury, or was that a metaphor?

Thank you for performing your civic duty. I got called once but since my report date was the same as my due date I got out of it.

Sorry all, I guess I wasn't clear at all -- it wasn't jury duty, it was about the committee in Olympia from the "Sleep is for Pansies", two posts ago. Things are really snowballing, and I haven't had time to blog or even read. I think Sunday I'll have some time to actually get back online. Can anyone say withdrawal?

Yo. I NEED MORE COWBELL!

Seriously, are you ok? Where the hell are you? I am sending warm wishes, crossing my fingers and toes, throwing a pinch of salt over my shoulder...

That was me, in my own state of bleariness, that got everyone started thinking you had jury duty. Silly me.

Anyway, bummed about the primary outcome.... My husband thinks, because I've shaken the hand of every Democrat Pres since and starting with JFK, that I've got a magic hand, and that Obama needs to shake my hand in order to win. Maybe I should work on that. Never did shake Al Gore's or John Kerry's hands.....
